Elderly man is Barbados’ latest road fatality

Police are urging motorists to be more careful on the roads after a three-vehicle collision yesterday at Salters Road in which an elderly man was killed; bringing the total number of road deaths for the year to 18.

The seventy year old man,Purshothamdos Samtani died on the spot when the blue Kia Picanto car he was driving collided head on with a mini-bus B155 and an Audi car, close to the junction of Salters Road and Haggatt Hall, St. Michael yesterday afternoon.

Police public relations officer, acting Inspector Roland Cobbler also said that several passengers in the minibus were also injured.
