There is a new political party in Barbados.

The People’s Party for Democracy and Development (PDP) was announced this morning at The Pavilion, Hastings, Christ Church by Leader of the Opposition Bishop Joseph Atherley.

Bishop Atherley said the party is committed to the betterment of the people of Barbados.

He listed several areas which they will focus on going forward.

Bishop Atherley also said the party will work towards creating a new framework for governance.
