The Ministry of Education working to fix environmental problems facing a number of schools

Minister of Education Santia Bradshaw says work is ongoing to fix or head-off environmental problems facing a number of schools.

She spoke to Starcom Network News following the early closure today of the All Saints Primary School, in St. Peter due to complaints about rodent infestation.

Classes were curtailed at 12 45 pm and the school will remain closed tomorrow for cleaning.

It joins a list of schools that had to be temporarily closed after staff and parents complained about environmental conditions and other problems ranging from cow-itch to stray animals roaming the compound.

Ms. Bradshaw gave an update on the situation at All Saints.

Ms. Bradshaw also says work has commenced to clean and clear the areas around various schools.
