Shooting in Wildey

A man was taken to hospital today with a gunshot wound to the leg that he says was the result of being caught in the middle, as one man shot at another in Wildey, St. Michael this afternoon.

The 29-year-old man from Gall Hill, Christ Church says that he had just left a petrol station in the area and was walking along the road when two men ran towards him, one firing at the other.

He claims the shooter shouted at him to move out of the way but he reacted too slowly and was struck in the thigh by a bullet.

The injured man is said to have then made his way to the Edgar Cochrane Polyclinic in Wildey and was transported from there to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital
