Pothole fix
Government is to undertake an emergency temporary fix of the badly potholed highway 7, the south coast highway, even as plans are put in place for a major repaving of the heavily-used roadway.
This has been disclosed by Minister of Transport Works and Maintenance, Dr. William Duguid, in an interview with Starcom Network News this morning.
Dr. Duguid stressed this is a temporary fix pending a much more extensive repair program.
Meantime, the repaving work on other key stretches of highway continue, including lower Collymore Rock where paving has stalled for a couple of days due to internal issues at the company contracted to do the paving work. That work expected to resume next Wednesday.
