Amidst all the concern about gun violence and wayward youth, one community that has in the past been counted among the trouble spots is reporting success in turning things round by giving the young people a positive focus.

That community is Haynesville in St. James, with Youth Commissioner for St. James South and President of the Haynesville Youth Club, Peter Skeete, stressing that they have developed a range of activities specifically designed to try to steer young people from deviant and anti-social behaviour through sporting, cultural, educational and entrepreneurial activities, even sessions in anger management.
