Police reports good progress in solving homicides

Acting Commissioner of Police, Erwin Boyce pledges there will no let-up in the fight against crime as he reports significant success in solving a number of the recent homicides.

He was speaking at a news conference to announce the amalgamation of the Worthing and Hastings police stations which from next week will be operating out of a newly-built complex.

Mr. Boyce says the majority of last year’s 49 homicides were solved and there’s quick progress on the five murders this year.

The acting commissioner says with over fifty officers commencing operations from the newly-combined Worthing/Hastings Station next week, they will be also be rolling out new strategies to tackle crime in that station area.
