PM proposes an amnesty to allow more time for motorists to get registration tags

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley believes that an amnesty should be put in place for people who have not yet been able to obtain their vehicle registration tags.

Ms. Mottley says she does not believe that people should be prosecuted at this stage, citing the long lines at the Barbados Revenue Authority Offices, that she calls unacceptable.

She says instructions have been given to Attorney General Dale Marshall to address this and that she is also prepared to table a bill to support her decision.
