PM outlines how Barbados and Kenya plan to work together

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley says her government will explore several sectors where Barbados can work with Kenya to develop both countries.

She said that Barbados and Kenya have many things in common given their common history and urge to move forward and succeed.

Ms. Mottley’s comments came after the signing of bilateral agreements between Kenya and Barbados at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre this afternoon.

Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta and his team are on an official three-day visit to Barbados.

Ms. Mottley believes that while at different times, Barbados and Kenya have been victims of slavery, it is important that both countries move forward together.

Meantime, Mr. Kenyatta, said there are many opportunities that exist if Barbados and Kenya work together.
