Acting General Secretary of the National Union of Public Workers, Delcia Burke, has urged the government to delay reopening the Winston Scott Polyclinic which was due to resume taking patients tomorrow.

The clinic was closed last week for a security review after staff expressed concerns about their safety but Ms. Burke says a major cleaning has also taken place and the facility is not reading for reopening.

A similar view was also expressed by General Secretary of the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations, Denis Depeiza, addressing the media outside the clinic.
