Construction company employees demand severance pay after the firm reportedly goes into receivership.

Dozens of Rotherly Construction employees gathered outside the company’s offices at Proute, St. Thomas this morning to complain that the company which is said to be in receivership is severing them but they don’t know when or whether they will get severance pay.

 

But a union representative said he hoped to get greater clarity about the situation by the end of the week.

Meantime, Allan Evelyn, President and CEO of Rotherly Construction told the Nation Newspaper’s Tre Greaves that they have had good discussions with the Barbados Workers Union and they are working as well with financial institutions and clients to resolve the situation.
