Chairman of the SSA meets with the management about garbage collection challenges

Chairman of the Sanitation Service Authority Senator Rudy Grant was meeting with the SSA’s senior management today to discuss ways to best meet demand for its garbage collection services even as it struggles with an under-sized fleet.

Senator Grant has told the Senate that the state agency still has less than half the number of garbage trucks it needs.

He stressed that the SSA will do its best with limited resources, but believes there needs to be a realistic appreciation of the circumstances.
