‘Buses late’

Several former Transport Board employees are expressing frustration over the buses they’ve imported being held up in the Bridgetown Port.

It’s understood there are at least eight buses, which will be used to participate in Government’s Transportation Augmentation Programme to offset the shortage of buses at the Transport Board.

One such owner is Michael Carrington who had used his severance to purchase a 46 seater bus that came into the island on September 13th.

Mr. Carrington tells Starcom Network News that some of the operators are still awaiting financial assistance but for those whose buses are in the Port, they still require the duty-free letter from the Minister of Finance.
