British oil tanker engineer found dead
A night on the town has ended in the death of a crewman from a visiting oil tanker whose body washed up near the Barinda Cox Fish Market at Oistins, Christ Church this morning.
The body was identified by the captain of the ship as that of Benjamin Burgess, a British National, who was an engineer on the ship which was anchored off Oistins.
Burgess who had been reported missing by the captain of the ship was reportedly spotted prior to his disappearance in what appeared to be an intoxicated state.
Inspector in charge of the Oistins Police Station Carolyn Blackman-Alleyne, briefed members of the news media at the scene.
