‘Better image’

Minister of Education, Santia Bradshaw and Chairman of the Board of the Grantley Adams Memorial Secondary School, George Griffith have promised action to deal with the problems at the school and to turn around the image of the institution, this as Mr. Griffith blasted what he said was years of neglect of that institution.

They were speaking this morning at the unveiling of a number of murals at the school created by a team local artistes.

Mr. Griffith felt past circumstances had tarnished the image of the school but promised to turn the situation around.

Miss Bradshaw also expressed her ministry’s determination to sort out any issues at the school.

The education minister says the project at Grantley Adams was a pilot for what will be done at other schools.

The education minister also announced plans to place more emphasis on the arts in schools.
