Teacher Unions concerned about child labour

The Barbados Union of Teachers and the Caribbean Union of Teachers are concerned about the growing trend of child labour in Barbados and the region.

This has been told to STARCOM NETWORK NEWS by P.R.O. for the local body and a member of the Public Relations Committee of the Caribbean body, Cobin Hinds.

He says there are some of the worst forms of child labour.

Majority of HIV infected unaware

It's estimated that the majority of people who are living with HIV do not know that they are positive for the virus.

According to Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Joy St. John, more people need to be tested to know their status.
